High-end Walking Beam Quenching & Tempering Production Line for Oil Well Tubings


1. Equipment Composition: Automatic feeding device, walking beam quenching furnace, high-pressure descaling unit, quenching machine tool, bidirectional automatic feeder, walking beam tempering furnace, cooling bed assembly, Circulating Cooling Water System and distributed Automatic Control System.


2. Available Processes: Quenching + Tempering, Normalizing + Tempering, Single Normalizing, Single Tempering.

Key Technical Advantages


1. Uniform Heating & Stable Product Performance

Multi-section independent temperature control reduces axial temperature difference of furnaces to within ±3℃. The stepping transportation keeps steel pipes rotating slightly during heating, minimizing temperature gap between pipe outer wall and inner bore. The mechanical property deviation of finished pipes is far lower than push-rod or roller hearth furnaces, meeting strict requirements for oil and gas service pipes.


2. Low Deformation & Less Surface Damage

No long-time contact friction between pipes and furnace supports; rotary double-sided quenching avoids uneven cooling distortion, ensuring excellent straightness of thick-wall pipes.


3. High Automation & Labor Saving

One central operator console controls all procedures including feeding, heating, quenching, tempering and discharging. Parameter recipes for different steel grades and pipe sizes can be stored and recalled with one click, supporting unattended continuous operation for 24 hours.


4. Energy Saving & Environmental Friendly

Regenerative burners and flue gas waste heat recovery cut fuel consumption significantly. Full fiber furnace lining lowers heat loss, and closed water circulation avoids industrial wastewater discharge.

It processes steel pipes with diversified specifications, covering tubing, casing, drill pipe, hydraulic cylinder tubes and structural seamless pipes with various outer diameters, wall thicknesses and lengths.
